About Me
Origins
Born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon, I grew up at the crossroads of cultures — where ancient history meets modern resilience. My early years were shaped by a deep appreciation for family, education, and the idea that technology can be a force for good.
Moving to the United States for university opened a new chapter. At Northeastern, I found a community of builders and thinkers who share my belief that the best solutions emerge when diverse perspectives collide.
Philosophy
I believe in building things that matter. Whether it's code, communities, or conversations, I'm drawn to work that has genuine impact. I'm fascinated by the intersection of technology and human experience — how a well-designed system can change someone's day, or even their life.
I try to approach everything with intellectual humility. The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don't know — and that's what keeps me going.
Beyond Work
When I'm not coding or studying, you'll find me playing chess, reading philosophy, exploring new music, or debating economics over coffee. I founded a chess club, competed in Model UN, and I'm always looking for the next intellectual challenge.
I care deeply about accessibility in healthcare (which led me to found ELTEEN) and privacy in technology (which drew me to the Tor Project). These aren't just professional interests — they're personal values.
